KC Keyholders calls for Corporate Prayer and Worship
January first is just around the corner. A time when churches get together to pray for the new year. In our conversation Amy Mahoney put out a call to action for churches all over Kansas City to pick additional dates in February and March to keep the ball rolling. We want a city that prays together year round that has open doors for corporate prayer and worship
Amy from KC Keyholders invites churches in Kansas City to commit to additional prayer and worship nights this year “Just give me a date”

New Spaces for Prayer and Worship
Churches are not the only spaces that are looking to host citywide prayer and worship. Amy Mahoney said that coffee shops are starting to show interest. They are already public spaces and some times are open more days and longer than churches.
We shall wait and see who will step forward to host these corporate events.
Below is a picture from Prefix coffee one of my favorite places to edit these podcast. Great people great coffee.

Identity Struggle
If you have known Amy for any time you will realize that identity and prayer are the book ends of most of her everyday interactions. In this conversation we were only able to tap the surface of her zeal for identity.
I didn’t know this before this conversation but Amy use to struggle with identity “I lacked it for so long”. I don’t know about you but once I face down a specific giant in my life I can’t stand to watch others struggle with the same issue I use to. Amy’s story is much the same way.

Identity Begins with Knowing God
To summarize some of what Amy said about our Identity: Our Identity will continue to change the more we become like Christ. It is through an identity found from knowing God that we are freed from a jail cell that once held us.
Amy referenced the verse below. I believe is a great identifier of the duel power of our calling backed by an identity found in intimacy with God.
2 Timothy 1:12 TPT
The confidence of my calling enables me to overcome every difficulty without shame, for I have an intimate revelation of this God. And my faith in him convinces me that he is more than able to keep all that I’ve placed in his hands safe and secure until the fullness of his appearing.
